Perrott lost the toss on what looked like a slightly softer wicket than normal at Willis Lane, and were put into bat by the visitors. Welly's opening bowlers didn’t give much away resulting in an early wicket. Salaman and Rowswell built a partnership and we hit drinks at 90-3 after loosing Salaman for 53, new signing Wolfenden and 1st team debutant Stephens, built a great partnership and upped the tempo with wolfenden bring up his 50 by taking 22 from an over. Wickets fell in the last 4 overs but we held on to finish the innings: 216/9 (50)

Perrott started their bowling innings strong with Wolfenden (6-2-6-0) and Rowswell (10-2-27-1) hitting line and length from the first ball. Leading to an early breakthrough and the score being kept to 71/2 at drinks. Brain (10-0-37-2) and Watagedara (8-0-36-0) bowled excellently through the middle overs to keep pushing the run rate needed up. Salaman (8-0-47-4) and Retter (7.5-0-37-1) bowled at the death to finish off the match by bowling the opposition out in the final over for 203/10
