Perrott won the toss and opted to bat first on a rock hard pitch. Openers Jodie (a fantastic knock of 50 rtno in her 2nd consecutive match!) and Rose (18) got off to a flying start and the ball kept finding the boundary. Solid contributions from Jess, Jade and Amy followed and we ended on a very healthy 139-3 from our 16 overs.
The bowling and especially fielding that followed was top notch - giving away very little and bowling to our field consistently. Pick of the bowlers though was Eliza N (1-14) - a great opening and closing spell and backed up by Amy (1-14) Jess (1-19) and Jodie (1-24) and Jade. The standout fielding was a high speed run out from Emily and Eliza - perfect teamwork!!
