A superb 2nd League win for North Perrott Women’s team!
North Perrott 155-2 (20) beat Frome 127 all out.
Frome won the toss and opted to bowl. Our openers keep their heads against some sharp, accurate bowling. Jodie R again rno on 50 for the 3rd match in a row - is just consistently able to get us off to a great start. Hayley, on debut, hit a quick fire 37, Rose again playing some beautiful shots (13) and Jess (23) and Amy (14) ticking the strike over in the closing overs. We ended on a very competitive total of 155 - 2 from our 20 overs.
I think it is fair to say bowling was not our strength today but the total commitment in the field more than made up for it. Wickets were taken by Jodie 3-19 Jess 1-20 and Libby/Amy were both 1-24. On top of that were 3 excellent catches by Emily, a fantastic reaction grab by Rose behind the stumps and Slaney making some great stops. Libby bowling the 15th over was a turning point in the game - only going for 1 run and taking a wicket with her last ball. That took a bit of the momentum out of the game and with pressure continuing to be applied - Jess and Jodie were able to take the last 2 wickets to win the match.
A really good team effort with everyone contributing to the win! Well done Perrott!!
